Tips & Tricks for the Ultimate Reset

Now that I have completed the 21 Day Ultimate Reset, I want to share some tips and tricks with you to help you get through your 21 days if you decide todo the Ultimate Reset.

When I started this journey, I had no idea what to expect, how to make things easier and how to not feel completely overwhelmed.  So I came up with some tips and tricks to help myself get through each week and not feel overwhelmed with all the meal planning and shopping there is to do with this program. I’ve decided to share these tips with all of you so you can have a pleasant and easy experience on your own Ultimate Reset journey.  Screen Shot 2016-01-20 at 12.25.28 PM.png

1. I would highly recommend following the “In a Crunch” menu because it’s easier and cheaper than buying all the food necessary for each day and then not using it all.  It also helps to know exactly what you will be eating each day if you follow the “in a crunch” plan because it makes it easier to prep and plan.

2.  Take Alkalinize as a shot in an actual shot glass because it’s gross and you will want to get it over with as fast as possible.  Check out my blog on how to take an Alkalinize shot here

3. Set alarms on your phone for when you need to take the supplement, eat your meals, etc.  (I didn’t the first couple of days and it was hard to remember when I ate last).

4. Try to prep as much as you can before each week to help make things easier. (i.e. bake enough potatoes the week before, cook quinoa ahead, etc.) 

5.  Cut back on all Caffeinated beverages before you start!  This is key if you don’t want to have withdrawal symptoms, headaches, nauseous, etc.  I went on an all out binge the very first time I tried doing the Reset and I felt so sick on the second day that I caved and quit.  This time, however, I slowly detoxed myself from caffeine and junk and it helped a lot.  No headaches or nausea.    

6.  Focus on getting through each week instead of focusing on the end or last day.  When I first started I just kept thinking, “21 days seems so far away!”  But once I shifted my mindset and thought, “just make it to the end of this week” it made it a lot easier to get through and time seemed to fly by so fast.  It was a lot easier to make it through seven days instead of the full 21 days.

The Easy Way To Take Alkalinize

So taking the Alkalinize supplement of the Ultimate is probably the most difficult part of this Ultimate Reset.  Having to do this every day for the entire 21 days of the program, makes you want to find an easy way to do it, so I did.  I came up with a way to make it easier for myself to take alkalinize and I want to share that with all of you, for if and when you decide to do the Ultimate Reset.  Here are the steps that I created and followed for taking the Alkalinize supplement.

What you will Need:
> Shot Glass
> Toothpick
> Alkalinize Packet
> Glass of water with mineralize added

Steps to take:

1. Fill the shot glass 2/3 to 3/4 of the way with water…cold water.

2. Add the powder to the shot glass filled with water.

3. Use a toothpick to stir and mix up the powder and water.

4.  Mix it really well and for a while to break up all the chunks until it’s smooth.  

5. Take a deep breath in, hold it in, take the shot.

6. Chug your water!

Faith Over Doubt

When I started my Beachbody journey back in 2014, I never started to become a Coach. I started so I could lose weight and help myself become healthier and just feel more comfortable in my own skin. I wasn’t thinking of anyone else, just myself. But then I saw how effective the products were. Between doing the 21 Day Fix and drinking Shakeology I was able to lose 10lbs in just 21 days. I felt better, more confident, had more energy than I knew what to do with. Suddenly I felt a fire within myself that I knew no one could ever put out.

That fire was passing what I knew and what I learned through the Beachbody programs on to others, to help improve their lives. I felt it was my duty to help others and show them how this opportunity could change their life like it did for me!

Shortly after becoming a Coach I saw how not only this opportunity could change my fitness, but also my finances, I decided I needed to look at this as a business and not just a hobby. But I was afraid. I was afraid of failing. I was afraid of being judged. I was afraid people would think I was crazy. I was afraid people would say, “no” and reject me. So many fears flooded my mind, and all I could think of were all the ways that I would fail and how this would never work.

I would see other coaches paying off debt, traveling at their leisure and being able to do things I only dreamed of and thinking that I would never get there and that would never be me. But since putting my fears aside and reminding myself daily, that I can do this and I can accomplish anything I set out to do, I have increased my income, grew my business and am living the life I have always wanted.

I am not saying this is easy by any means and I am not promising that you will make a certain amount of money by a certain date. All I am saying is that if this is a life you dream of, then you can have it too! So stop worrying about all the reason why this can’t work or won’t work, and believe in the one reason why it will work! I jumped into this business with both feet and have not backed down once and I don’t plan to. So now the question is, are you ready to take that leap with me? Are you ready to jump in both feet and make a life for yourself, your family that you have only dreamed of? I believe you can do this….do you?

Goals for 2016

In the start of a new year, we all decide to set certain goals, make resolutions and decide to become better than we were the year before.  So below I am sharing with you my goals and aspirations for 2016.

Now, it’s kind of scary for me to share these goals with you.  Why? Because that means I am going to be held accountable all year for achieving them.  Which is exactly what I want.  I want to share my goals so I have some form of accountability.  I want to reach these goals this year and I know the only way I will reach them is by sharing them with others and talking about them constantly.  Not only just talking about them, but putting them into action, or rather creating a plan of action to make these dreams/goals a reality.

So take a look at my vision board below and you will see all kinds of different goals I have set for myself.  Some are personal health and fitness goals, others are business or financial related goals, and some are just goals to “treat myself”.  But now that I have my goals, I need to make a plan of action.  You see right now these are merely dreams, but if you put a deadline to these dreams, they become a goal.  So today I am assigning deadlines for each of these dreams/goals and making a plan to help me reach them.

4lbs in 4 Days!

So as you may know I am currently doing the Ultimate Reset from Beachbody, which is a 21 day detox/cleanse that rids your body of toxins and junk that you have been filling it with for years.  I have officially completed 4 days of the Reset and today I decided to weigh-in just to keep track of my progress and keep me motivated to keep going.  12509676_525035331003812_5318606088163383869_nSo far I have lost, (drumroll please!)……4lbs!!  I have been hovering around the same number on that stupid scale for months now, and finally I am seeing a lower number on it and I couldn’t be happier!  I know it isn’t all about the number and it’s really not, but dang it feels great to finally get past the point I have been stuck at for months!  Not only have I lost some unwanted weight, but I also have sooo much energy and feel incredibly focused!

Go Your Own Way

Not only do I love this graphic, and the song “Go Your Own Way” by Fleetwood Mac, I also love how I can apply this small four word phrase to my own health and fitness journey and use it to help you start your journey.  To me, “Go Your Own Way” means make your own path in life, stand against the crowd, and be your own person.

We don’t always have the will power to say no, or do the right thing when everyone else is doing wrong.  But this is just a friendly little reminder to be yourself, do what makes you happy, and spread that happy to whomever you meet, where ever you go and in everything that you do.

Don’t let anyone take your happy away from you and don’t ever refrain from being who you are because you are afraid of what others will think or say.  “Go Your Own Way”.
